Dr. Kelvin Adams began his duties as Superintendent of Schools for the St. Louis Public School District on November 3, 2008.  In his role as Superintendent, Dr. Adams oversees a school district serving more than 25,000 students in grades Pre K – 12.  The St. Louis Public School District will operate 73 schools and 3 Alternative School Programs in 2010/2011.  The District employs more than 4,000 people, including almost 2,500 teachers.
