Old Newsboys Day

RECAP Report

On Thursday, November 16, 2017, members of St. Louis Rotary Club 11 once again participated in the Old Newsboys Day paper drive by selling special edition newspapers at various locations downtown.  This is part of an annual campaign that takes place throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.  All funds raised by this event go towards supporting local children's charities.

I would like to thank the following "newsboys" for their participation:

• Mike Borough

• Mark Dischinger

• Jeromy Fritz

• Bob Garagiola

• Beth Russell

• Doug Russell

• Sean Smith

• Richard Warriner

• Matt Wilson

The top three “newsboys” this year were Matt Wilson at $108.58, Mark Dischinger at $160.16 and Bob Garagiola at $162.25.

All together, Club 11 raised $896.25 for local children’s charities.

Thank you to all who participated in making this year's event successful!

Alleygations - November 13, 2017 - David Hadler

Team Barnes shuffled past Team Losciale, by the small margin of 50 pins for their total counts of the night. Even Paul Holt was unable to save …

Alleygations - November 6, 2017 - David Wicks

Well the lanes were unusually quiet for Rotary Bowling.  Might go on record for the quietest and fastest rounds in our very long history.  The parking lot was almost empty as I drove up.  Made me wonder if memory loss was starting – Was this really Monday? This was a huge turnaround from our noisy Halloween Monday, featuring the Pirate …
