Week 24 witnessed strong performances by Don Lorenz (High game 237) and high scratch series (614). Other notable scores were turned in by Jim Gidcumb (235), Blake Critzas (220), and Don Klackner, who only rolled 199, but he is included since he is providing free food next week. Special notice to Jon Soifer who rolled his highest ever game of 184.
It has come to my attention that some bowlers complain about their scores on lanes 23 and 24. The following graph shows there may be some validity to their gripes. Maybe the pictures on the wall distract the bowlers or old remembrances of dalliances at the Coral Court. Whatever the reason, averages on the end lanes are lower.
As a group we have fared well for the past 6 weeks with averages steadily rising and tying an all season high of 152.
Standings at the top did not change with Soifer and Kocher occupying #1 and #2 respectively. The Weiss team made the biggest leap by virtue of its 20 to 2 thrashing of the Decker team. The winner of the 50/50 was Jack Windish who apparently did not bowl. Guess it was just a coincidence that Jack’s team was 2-20 the last week he bowled and 20-2 the week he sat out.
Everyone show up next week for the FREE FOOD and other prizes.
