Bud McCain passed away Monday March 9 after a series of illnesses.
Bud was a sergeant in the infantry in Europe in 1944-45 and later served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps.
Bud joined our club in 1961 when he was the President of Swope Shoe Company, a position he held for 15 years. In 1976, bud had been elected for a 3 year term to the Board of Directors of the National Shoe Retailers Association. Bud served as a trustee on the Board of Associated Retailers, was a member of the Missouri Athletic Club and a former Director of Downtown St. Louis.
Bud took senior active status in 1991 and begain selling real estate part time. In 1997, he was named one of Coldwell Banker’s Top 50 agents for the first quater.
Viewing is 10-11 am at Ladue Chapel. Burial is Monday March 16 at Jefferson Barracks at 11:30 A.M. and the memorial service will be on Tuesday march 17 at Ladue Chapel at 1:00 with reception to follow.
