ROTARY GOLF LEAGUE
ALGONQUIN COUNTRY CLUB
September 5th, 2018
The Rotary golf league had another outstanding golf outing at Algonquin Country Club in Webster Groves. Many thanks to our host Flip Cady as well as the wonderful service at the club. We had 22 golfers with 20 staying for dinner. We were able to welcome guest Ryan Whittington from the Clayton Rotary Club as well as Jay Lockhart, a guest of Jay Ryan.
Algonquin was in great shape with hardly a blemish to be seen anywhere on the course. The temperature was once again in the 90s but we made it through the day..
Medalists for the event were Flip Cady, Blake Critzas and Jim Gidcumb each shooting 80. Low net for the day was Dave Wicks with a 64.

Most had plenty of time for fellowship following golf. About 7:15 we were ready for dinner and were served a nice dinner buffet featuring grilled chicken breast with vegetables, mushroom pasta followed by delicious vanilla ice cream with a hot apple crisp. Prior and during dinner, our host Flip Cady, made sure we had plenty of wine as he was nice enough to bring some of his personal stash from home. Thanks Flip.
After awards we were on our way home, waiting for the next outing scheduled for Tuesday September 25th at either The Legends or Glen Echo Country Club. Keep posted. Be sure to get your reservation into Dave Wicks and feel free to invite guests. It really is great fellowship and played on some of the nicest golf courses in the St. Louis area.
Hope to see you then,
